I go out with a small crew and upgrading my rear bags to 750''s or larger and wanted to get an additional bag to go on top of cushions in bow. What size/brand is best? I was thinking a Straight Line Sumo Bow Bag (650 lbs)?
Please advise. I have factory PNP bag under cushions but I don't know how much it actually fills up.
Thanks,
Jason

I have the ronix 950lb pickle fork bag with the 3700gph pump and it works pretty good.

I bought the ronix simply for the 3700gph pump... fills pretty fast :)

I would add lead if I wanted more weight in my bow but i am happy with the pnp bow bag. I usually throw a person or two up front if the crew is large

I just bought the 650 sumo for my A20 and the thing works out just fine. Took 4ish minutes to fill the whole thing. Made the surf wave insanely better on my 20'. We only run 750 in each rear locker and its usually just the Mrs. and I out. Our plug play bow bag under is likely only getting 300lbs at the most even though its a 400lb bag. I have to imagine the T22 bow would allow for atleast 400 under the cushions.

So let me get this straight. You have the PNP bag under the seats and then put another 650 bag on top of the seats?

Do you surf port of starboard side?

How are you filling/draining the extra bag?

When you say insanely better...can you describe it? And pics?!?

You got it. I have seen people plumb a line from the plug and play system from under the bow cushions to on top, however all that I have done is placed an additional 650 sumo bag on top of the cushions and fill with a separate pump in our 12V outlet. So it is not plumbed in at all and is a manual thing that I have to do instead of flipping a switch on the dash.

I will grab some pics the next time out, however with our setup with all plug and play full, 750 lbs total in each locker and the 650 on the cushions, speed set to 10mph the push is much better than before we put the extra bow bag up there. Before we'd run everything full with speed at 10.4-10.6 on the cruise and the wave was extremely steep but I found it too close to the swim platform. The extra weight in the bow (elongating the wave) and the slower speed (steepening the wave) have created a much longer wave with the sweet spot a good 3-4 feet further back than before with a wave that is still plenty powerful to push me at 6'2" 195 lbs. My wife who is half the size was a good 20' back in the wave and was able to come all the way back to the boat. (We are decent surfers but always learning - so saving it that far back is still really exciting for us). Before the extra bow bag 15' was likely the furthest back we would be able to go. We are stilling playing with the ballast (have 40 hours on the boat) but the ballast and speed set up we ran last weekend was the best yet. Did my first 360 with the new setup, before I kept nose diving when I got to the 180 but not sure as to why. May have just been dumb luck.

I surf port, wife is starboard.
