Bought an 2015 A20 in April. This is my first boat ever. I need to find out if I'm experiencing more than normal issues...

I've had the boat in the shop 3x since April. Most of the issues below are still unresolved. The dealer wants to send the boat to Malibu in TN this winter to let them resolve.

1. Noise under floor in drivers area. It varies between a rattle and a knock. Mostly when hitting choppy water (3x in the shop and dealer can't figure out what's causing).
2. Center ballast filling on it's own
3. Front PnP filling on it's own
4. Several loose cables...battery cables not routed or clipped...some having 12" of free play and flopping around. Found trying to discover what was causing the noise.
5. Windshield not aligned properly...friction is wearing away the aluminum
6. ECM reflash (completed)
7. Rear shock for locker on starbord bolts keep coming loose
8. Found "trash" in compartments of boat and inside...I can see when I pull the drain plug (piece of discarded fiberglass, wire clippings, handful of screws and nuts).
9. I've had to tighten the screws on the switch panels.

Some of this is very minor. However, when added together and being a brand new boat, I think it adds up to shoddy quality.

The noise is most concerning. When I get the boat back, it will be out of factory warranty before I can water test in spring of 2016.

Most of the items on your list are things that boat owners typically handle themselves. Boats aren't like cars, they require a little more fiddling. That being said, makes sure your dealer fixes your windshield. There is discussion on this forum about ballast filling on its own, its something you can correct. For the rattling, you should identify the source if you are the one hearing it. It's probably one of the ballast pumps banging under the floor (or something simple like that).

Others may disagree but had to tweak a few things on my boat, and this forum was a great resource.

Let me see how I can help. I just purchased a 2015 axis t22 and like you have certain issues that bother me.

1. I have a high piched squeaking noise coming from under dash. The occasional harsh vibration sound comes throughout the entire boat. Both happen when ballast is completely full and at slow/idle speed. Dealer said the squeal was from air purge vents from the ballast. So annoying. And the vibrations where caused by the exhaust rattling the platform and wedge when the platform is under water

2. No issue

3. No issue

4. Sloppy wiring on mine as well

5. My windshield was lined up fine but my drivers dash area cracked on the right side and it warped on the inside.

6. No issue

7. No issue

8. Yea lots of trash and unclipped zip ties nuts and screws.

9. My right side switch panel wiggles a bit

Like you I think it is very frustrating that having spent 60+ on a boat that they couldn't spend a little more time on quality control. Aside from that I absolutely love the boat, wake and wave.
