I recommend getting it from the manufacturer. Then you don't have to worry about the install, its also going to be covered under warranty then.

Thanks guys, appreciate the knowledge.

Looks to me like deckadence just lays down based on a video I watched.

Can anyone confirm 5 year engine warranty for 2016?

Also can anyone give me pro and cons of the auto set vs manual wedge? What would you do?

Read SDUKES reply, he already answered your question about the wedge

I read it, just kind of confused on how it works and why I would want it one way or the other? So the manual is either alway up or always in a locked down position? And the autoset is always locked up or down and free floating? Does the auto just help with planing eaiser or what?

The wedge is either up or down, you reach thru a small door on the swim platform to put it down as it is locked in the up position. With the wedge down it is like adding 1000lbs to the back of the boat.. If you want to be able to control the wedge angle from the cockpit then I believe you will have to go to the WakeSetter.

I picked up my 2015 A22 a couple weeks ago and love it.. I particularly like the front end, it makes picking people up from the docks a snap as they have somewhere to board and the anti-slip stuff is great.

I would go for the plug and play ballasts right off the hop, if the dealer can install them all the better.. I just ordered 2 - 1100lbs sacs for the rear and a under seat bow sac for the front.

Ohhhh ok I got it now, I was thinkin there were 3 options, no wedge, manual, and an autoset. But its no wedge or the autoset, which is manual. Sorry about the confusion.

It is a simple, easy, very rarely breaks or has trouble device that is a must have on a wake boat. I know the trim tabs get a lot of attention, but there is a reason Malibu has kept the wedge on their boats. It rocks.

I was originally planning on going with the autoset wedge, but see that many people go with the manual, could someone explain why you would chose one over the other? What is the cost difference?

You have the answer to this already.

When I priced out an A22 I noticed there was a charge for the black base gelcoat color, is white free? I know it is on Moombas.

Check with your dealer, I cant recall off hand and my boat sales guys are busy at the moment. Also dont remember if this changes depending on the gel scheme.

Does deckadance just lay on the floor or does it snap in?

Just lays on the floor.

Do these boats come from the factory with rear and front sacs?

From the factory they come with rear hard tanks under the floor in the back lockers holding about 250lbs worth of water. They also have a hard tank in the center of the boat under the floor between the driver and observer seat holding about 350-400lbs worth of water.

When you order the "plug n play" upgrade they are just providing the hoses for the piggy back in the rear. However starting in 2015 they also include the quick connect fittings for the rear lines. Up in the front they give you the fill/drain pump and run the lines (fill, drain, vent) and check valve for the under bow bag.

You will still need to purchase the ballast bags. Its kind of misleading how they do this but you should be able to work the bags into the boat purchase from the dealer. I recommend going with the Straight Line Sumo sacs since they have 1" ports on the bag to match your 1" ballast lines. The Sumos also have a spring loaded "burp" valve that is handy to get all of the air out to ensure your get all the weight you need.

Can I get a 2313 or 2315 prop installed from the factory?

Yes you can and its cheaper to get the prop when you order the boat. Still not a bad idea to have a spare prop in the boat with the tools to change it incase you ever ding it.

Do the trailers come standard with brakes? Torsion or leaf sprung axles?

Check with your dealer because they can order the trailer for the boat from different trailer manufactures. For 2016 I know Malibu is making trailers in house, not sure if they are making trailers for Axis as well.

I am thinking about going with sound pack 1 and putting exile speakers in the tower, is it a major pain to get wiring through the tower?

Sound pack 1 includes tower wiring, not a problem at all. We brought 90% of our Axis boats in with Sound Pack 1 and had our local audio shop work the audio packages into the overall price of the boat depending on what the customer wanted to do whether that was simple Exile or Wetsounds or full loaded.

For Exile we found a lot customers went with a simple system that came out to around $5300-5500 installed with a 2 year warranty on Exile gear and lifetime warranty on his install.

This included the following:

1 pair of Exile Surf 9s on the tower
2-3 pairs of Exile SX65Ms in the boat to replace stock speakers
1 Exile Xi 12" sub in a custom box he would build which was tuned to the customers music style fully marine sealed.
1 Exile Javelin 5 Ch amp
1 Exile 30.2 amp
1 Exile EQ

And some customers wanted a different head unit so we would throw in an Alpine 149BT. Depending on the dealership they should have a trusted boat audio guy/shop that they can recommend or they work with.

Any other questions?

The real question is why at all.. I have surfed for an hour straight and never had an issue.

As for the surf pipe, if you want it do it from the factory. It's cheaper in the long run.

Is it needed? No. Is it nice to have, sure.

It does make these boats extremely quiet, to the point where you will hear the wedge start to rattle.

I don't even notice my boat running.. but than again I like my music up.

Thanks StevenM, and everyone else for the replys. Couple more questions I have come up with. I see purple "cord" is available as an interior option for 2016, does that mean its available as an interior accent option or just the little strip/bead around the bottom cushion?

Also someone mentioned in another thread that you can kind of do what you want with vinyl colors when you order, as in you arent limited to what the boat builder allows you to do colorwise. The builder only allows accent 1 or accent 2 to be any color, and the other has to be one of the nuetral colors, can I special order both accents to be say blue, red or yellow if I want?
