I'm riding a cwb big Benz right now. Part of my problem is dealer availability, we have a VERY small market around us so test riding stuff is pretty much a non option.

Appreciate the offer, I've heard good things about the red rocket, really wish I could get a set in on one.

Have you thought about posting on the inland surfer Facebook page? Gotta be someone local who has one...

Also that board is tiny for you man! If you can ride that at all you will feel like a pro on the red rocket!

I don't do Facebook. It's a thought tho, could have my wife do it. I'd love to ride one before I drop a huge chunk of $$ on it.

I'm curious what phase 5 is going to come out with. My dealer can get them, but I have to know what I want. At this point I'll be lucky to ride for another month if temps start dropping. Probably do some more research over the winter on the new line. I've exchanged a few emails with a guy there and he was very helpful. plus I would like to get a scamp for my younger boys

Just bought the scamp for my kids (4 and 7) I will say imo the phase 5 construction is more durable than the inland surfer. That being said I have spent the last 4 months trying to replace my red rocket with something better and I simply cannot find anything. I think I thought the board was my problem when in fact it was me not being patient. I am very happy now though. I really would like to try a walker project bazooka but it looks to be very similar construction to the red rocket.

Adrenaline Watersports in Bellevue/Redmond had a Walker Project board for sale. It was the owners personal board. He is a bigger guy but I'm not positive it was a bazooka. I would say it looks to be about 5' tall. He was going to let it go for $500 and he claimed to have used it only a couple times. It was in good shape, a little discoloration but no noticeable dents or anything.

I just rode my Chaos/ShredStixx Ringer XL this weekend for the 1st time. It is rated up to 330 I believe. It was a great board with tons of drive down the wave. It is definitely an intermediate to advanced board though. It cuts like nothing else I've ridden but has little to no nose rocker, so you better keep the tip up when you carve. This might be another option for bigger guys looking for something more advanced.

I have a Phase 5 scamp for my kids and my soon to be 10 year old that is 5' tall, 86lbs can shred on this board. It is a great kids board and worth every penny. The 3 fins are removable so as they progress you can remove the center fin and make it a twinzer setup or even remove the outer fins and just run a center fin like the bigger Phase 5 boards in the lineup. The price point is perfect and it's been extremely durable.

I also own and ride a 58" Phase 5 Diamond. It is the best true skimboard for big guys. I'm 278 6'1" and can ride it wireless all day. It would not be something I recommend for a beginner though. If you can ride already, then it's a fun, challenging board that will help push your skills along. Definitely worth riding a few sets on.

I've heard rumors that new boards are forth coming from all 3 of the big name companies. Ronix, Phase 5 and Inland Surfer.

If your in the North Idaho area get in touch with me. You can ride any of my big boy boards. I could use the extra ballast... :D

I actually demoed the Phase 5 diamond from Adrenaline (owners personal board) but felt like I was just a bit to heavy for the board (very little push unless I was in the pocket).

I usually ride Banks Lake and Blue lake but don't come much farther east than that or I would take you up on your offer..

I have the Phase 5 X (58") - It says 250, but 230 is pushing it. It has the same issue as your Phase 5 Diamond - U better keep the nose up or you are going down - I wondered if the Scamp was a good one or not - Thanks for the info
