What does the top of the swimstep look like? I am thinking I will need to add a ladder like this also. I had been wondering about the advantages of bolting through the swimstep or welding a stainless plate to the mounting brackets and bolting to that (keeping the entire installation under the step and invisible when in water. After your installation, what do you think?

https://www.dropbox.com/sc/qiruh3v0tz3z ... kfCo_IDTaaHere is a photo of the transom. I wish I would have used flat headed machine bolts. I thought the pad would have had more depth to absorb the bolt. Oh well, I know the ladder isn't going anywhere and I doesn't look that bad.

Looks good. I've thought about installing one but then I just make everyone figure it out.

Folks... I would pay to have this done professionally... you dropped 5 digits on your boat, this is chump change.
just my opinion....

I had a full day of surfing yesterday and the ladder didn't interfere with the wake at all. I'm very happy with the finished product!
