I am wanting to buy either the Ronix 400 or 800 eight.3 bags for my 2013 A22. I do not have plug n play, so I wanted to this route for the fast fill & drain. I have noticed that most people w 750s are only filling them 1/2 to 2/3 full with surf gate. So my question is should I just buy the 400s & fill full, or buy the 800s? If I buy the 400s, I shouldn't have to worry about the engine dividers bowing. Thanks for the advice. I will be using a surf gate.

Where have seen this? The only time I did not fill my 750's all the way was when I had 13 people in my boat. 400 is not enough weight with a light crew.

When it's just my wife and I out we have all tanks both 750's and arrow bag full and a 400 bag on surf side seat.

+1 except I have 900's in the rear and a 750lb sack under the observers seat but not completely full.

Bigger is better, buy them once IMO.

Something weird here. I was out on the lake yesterday with a crew of 17 in a T23. Okay, there were only 6 adults and 11 kids from 0 to 12, but still, 17. I dropped the wedge, filled the 900s in the back and the 650 in the front (plus the 900s in hard tanks.) I also made an adult and 4 or 5 kids sit in the bow. Despite being at 5500 feet we were able to get the boat up to surf speed (11.8) and had a beautiful wave to ride.

I have no idea why someone with 400s would only want to fill them halfway, unless maybe they were just wakeboarding.

My advice- get the 800s.

It's a 409 with the "high altitude" prop. I can't remember the number on it. I've struggled a bit with this, and the real key seems to be putting some fatties in the bow. Then I can handle lots of weight in the boat, the wedge, and the altitude.

Yes. I'm running the 900's from that kit.
