axis motors

I keep noticing in some of these threads that you guys are saying the '15 and '16 axis boats come with PCM motors. How come when I got my build sheet on my 16' T23 it is still a monsoon? Also, everywhere I look online I see that indmar is still the company making motors for the axis. Some please help me out here....

not sure where you are seeing that indmar is still the engine mfr for axis. PCM is def in the axis as of 2015. The confusion maybe around the "monsoon" brand. Monsoon is actually a Malibu brand. So now the stock motor in the axis is the PCM Monsoon 350.

That probably explains it then....I have always thought monsoon was indmar. Thanks

Monsoon is just the name that Malibu/Axis uses for all of their motors.

Heard Ford Raptors were in the 16 Bu's.

Yes, Monsoon is a Malibu and Axis term. 15 and 16 are PCM.

Confirmed. '16 BUs have the ford raptor standard with a 1/1.76 gear reduction.
