I get the same noise and its the swim platform vibrating. Mine only does this when I am weighted. It was always faint but it became much more pronounced and constant after a month or so. I looked at the swim platform when the boat was on the trailer and the top pins that hold the swim platform in were about to fall out causing the platform to have considerably more play than usual. Since then, every 10 or so hours I notice the pins rotate and back themselves out. Check your platform and consider thru bolting the top pins.

good call on checking the pins. One of my pins fell out and the other was half way out. $27 to replace one pin. lol.

Are all the vibration issues on boats with the 350s only?

Bamabonners, so when you are in neutral or slow idle there is no vibration that can be felt or heard? How many hours on your 22?

I just noticed a vibration last time we were out. First time experiencing it and around 25 hours on the boat. 2015 A22 with the 350. We were weighted down and it happened at idle.

I don't believe my boat, which has the 350, has major vibration either. However I don't really have anything to compare it to as this is my first boat. I will say when I am ballast full I feel like the platform or something "rattles" in the back, is that what you guys are talking about?

For me its shakes hard and loud when the ballast is full and yes the platform rattles but mine is also very noticeable totally empty and idling. It did seem to get worse with more hours I put on.

The best way to describe my noise is at idle or low rpm while underway. If I didn't know any better you would swear it's everything made of metal on the stern of the boat rattling or vibrating. It's gone once the rpm goes up and the boat is underway. My ballast full or empty has no bearing on the noise.

I have the same issue, same idle speed and neutral, same vibration and noise from rear that resonates through the entire boat. I have a '15 Axis A22 w/350hp PCM. I don't know that I agree with all the explanations of the cause of this vibration. At least for mine, while in the water if I press down hard on the wedge the noise and vibration stops completely. When out of the water there is a lot of give and wiggle in the wedge that originates in the pins that lock the wedge into position. (so its not like you can tighten a bolt or nut). This would make sense as to why some of you have the noise and some don't. Maybe some of the pins fit tighter than others. I recommend some others try it to see if the noise ceases. Reach down through the door in platform and apply a lot of weight and pressure (pushing down on the wedge).

Furthermore, the surf pipe exhaust further contributes to the noise because the exit is positioned just below the wedge, the exhaust is released and bubbles up into the wedge causing it to rattle......At least for mine. This would also help explain why it only happens at idle or neutral. Grab your wedge and shake it and see if it rattles while the boat is out of the water and I bet this is the problem.

The wedge is not that important to me after some experience with it, if my dealer is unable to fix the problem, I may consider completely removing it.

Happy Boating!
