Stock full
Wedge down or up depending on my mood.
900lb rears partially full
Arrow full
70'
23mph
I am 5'9 230lbs.

I have learned rider weight plays a big part in speed of the boat. With my size, I can't cut as hard at 22mph as I can at 23mph. If I do, my cut will be too aggressive and it is counter productive. I will dig my board too much into the water.

Board size matched to the rider is very important as well

I ride a 142'. If slingshot made a larger, stiff board, I would ride it. I am going to test out the Nomad in a few weeks when they do the demo day. I have found the pop on the slingshot boards which most people can't find.

At your weight isn't it recommended that you ride a 145-146 according to pretty much every manufacturer's specs? I weigh 170 and ride a Slingshot Reflex 141 and feel it's a great match. I also ride a Ronix District 140. I think that's why you're riding at 23mph vs 21-22mph is because your 142 is struggling whereas a 145-146 with more surface area would benefit you. You could slow things down to progress much better. I mean, if you're not landing a couple inverts, 360's, raileys, and more advanced tricks...I don't see any need to ride at 23mph. I'm nothing special on a wakeboard but I think any wakeboard camp or coach would probably have you slow down with the right board to progress. Just a suggestion anyways.[/quote]

Trust me. I know what you are talking about but at my weight it is different. You have the checks and balences of wakeboarding that come into play. I like flex boards for the soft landing. I like the stiffness of my Lyman for the pop. If a board manufacturer came out with a 150cm with the same flex as the Lyman, I would be sold. The Nomad is my next option. I will test ride it soon so we will see. Also board manufacturer specs are crap. Ride what feels good to you. I don't need someone telling me what I like.

Hard tanks full
800lbs in rear full
Horse shoe bag in bow full (probably only holds 300lbs)
400lbs bag in bow
Idk about you guys but the boat takes quite awhile to plane with the wedge down with torque prop so I don't use the wedge
65' at 23mph

I think board size is all based on preference. I have bend riding for many years now. I am 175 and ride a 134 Murray. Last year I rode a 134 liquid force s4. Size for size they are the exact same but performance is two totally different animals. The murray is much faster and has slightly more pop. I slowed my speed down .4 mph when I made the switch. I think it is important to test ride boards. Arguing over 4-6 cm is kinda crazy. Just my opinion.

How do you like the Ronix William? I'm riding an older Ronix One that someone gave me. I don't really have any way to demo boards. I did ride someones Ronix Bandwagon. It was fun.

I have rode 3 different Ronix One boards, a couple of them several times, the pop on the One is better but much less forgiving. The pop on the William is almost as much but far more predictable. I wouldn't even trade my Ronix Bill for the One and definitely not the William. I was amazed at the pop difference the William has relative to the Bill while maintaining all the other wonderful aspects.

You can get plenty of pop with just a Bill but the William is dope.

Stock 900 full
400 lb rears full = 800lbs
750 Arrow full ( only fills to about 5-600 under the seats)
750 sac on the floor full
300 on the front seats full
400 in lead scattered throughout
Wedge down
75' rope
23.6 mph

We usually run this setup when its just our usual 2-3 person crew. When the 3 wives come out we pull the 750 in the floor and the 300 on the front seats for the extra room.

410 Motor with 2419 prop

Stock tanks full
PNP 600 rears
500 bow bag under seats (not sure what it actually fills to)
400 sac in walkway under front middle seat cushion
wedge down

Sometimes I'll throw another 400 sac in the middle of the floor
I usually have 2-6 people in the boat and a full tank of gas
We ride at 65-75ft at 23-24mph
The boat doesn't have any trouble planing
