Just wondering if anyone has changed the oil yet on this new engine?
And what oil is everyone using? I weight mine pretty heavy for surfing running at 4K rpms

Just had mine changed at the dealer. No clue what oil it is, whatever the manufacturer recommends.

Well not as easy as I thought oil will not drain out freely after the engine is hot?? Is there a pet cock on the oil pan? Do you have to use suction ?

My drain tube isn't long enough to go through the drain plug. I just insert the plastic hose for my vacuum pump into the drain hose and suck the oil out-easy and no mess.

That's what I ended up doing. Had to buy a vacuum pump, got it at Northern tool for like 60 bones and the reservoir hold 6quarts I think! Was kinda disappointed the drain hose wouldn't go through the rear drain plug though seems like there would be a better design

You need to attach a pump to the drain hose and pump it out. Go to home depot and getting a matching set of fittings (it's a standard NPT Thread) that allows you to attach it to something like this:

Sorry to bring back a dead thread, but is the Wix 51515 oil filter a cross over for the crusader part # 22679 oil filter?
