I am looking to buy a new axis, either a A22 or A24. With gel coat and upgraded trailer and speakers. My dealer says he upgrades "basically everything he can". He told me a new A22 would be probably about 69k and if I waited till the end of they year sale I could probably get even more off of that. I'm a first time buyer so I don't know what to expect. My family has owned 2 malibu's (all bought used). Is this a fair price? Is it like cars, is there much negotiating or is it pretty straight forward with the price? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks guys

That is a fair price. Wait till October and you could get it for 65k or slightly lower. It depends on how much you want it.

Without knowing what all is on it, I would say that is a fairly good price.

I bought mine in January before the boat show for about 11% off MSRP. That worked out to around $77K before tax, title, and license for a 2015 T23 with a 409, almost all the options (2 or 3 I didn't get), and stereo pack 2. Hope that helps.

Felt like an average deal but not a super deal.

I bought my 2014 A24 in September last year and its was $71k, before taxes. Its pretty much loaded, 409, plug in play with sacs, heater, four swivel board racks, a 5K dealer installed stereo system that is unreal.. upgraded trailer with rock stars, docking lights, and Im sure a few other things I' forgetting. Wait til later in the year. They seem to really want to move things.

Prices will get better as the year goes but you'll be left with colors leftover.

Bought mine in April. Its a 15 a22 did the gel coat upgrade and did sp3 with all wetsounds but just got the white trailer with regular wheels and tires. I had one that was tricked out and it was too rough IMO. Got everything but a heater and upgraded trailer and it was $71. But that included all my bags and stuff to hit the lake.

I'm curious when people say "I got pretty much EVERY option" or mine is loaded, are you getting the Z5 because that's anywhere from $2500-$3000 depending on how much your dealer wants. SP3 is a great option as well as tricked out trailer if you're getting your boat in the high 60's or barely $70k. The big options around the same price will be the SP3, tricked out trailer, Z5, or 409. If you got 2 out of 4 for low $70's you did fairly well, if you got 3 out of 4 for low $70's you did great, if you got 4 out of 4 at this time of the year I want you to negociate my next boat.

AJ, I agree if he was able to get all that on an A24 for 71k? He is one heck of a negotiator.
