I swore when I bought the boat that all I had to do to lower the wedge was squeeze the two pins together and it dropped, but I'm not 100% sure. Now, I have to squeeze the pins and lift the wedge slightly to drop it.

What say you? Squeeze and lift or just squeeze?

Squeeze and lift. You gotta figure the weight of the wedge is applying force to the pins.

No offense but c'mon maaaan. The wedge is not hydraulic so the pins have springs sideways but the wedge does not. So just lift a tiny bit to get the wedge weight off the pins and springs and pinch. Sorry for being so direct but it should be common sense.
