AJ...where is the thread for this mod you did?

Hoping I can piggyback on this thread as I installed my rear bags tonight and remembered seeing this thread...

Here's my bag....should I trim the fill line at all? So I have it go to the rear top plug, like I have it sitting next to now, or should I hook it up to the other top plug that's 'below' it in this picture?

Image

You can see I installed the wakemakers engine divider kit for peace of mind, great stuff!

Lastly, here is my rear drain with the top black cover/panel removed...Do I simply spin the 90* elbow coming off the hard tank 180* around to face towards the back and remove the straight connector and put a 90* elbow quick connector on the end to the bag?

Thanks for the help! Can't wait to try it out this weekend.

if you have an 2015 A22, yes...spin the rear drain 180 deg, cut the hose to about 4-5 inches long then put a 90 in. then another 90. then put the floorboard back, done. also the fill hose does not have to be trimmed for flyhigh sacs. I did grab the hose and rotated the fitting, the sacks fill and empty very well

sorry just saw you have a T22, the hose might be longer or shorter, twist it back and see, or measure back with a tape

So I'm slightly confused when you say put a 90* in then put another 90*. How/what fittings do you use that connect to each other and still connect to the fitting on the bag? I ordered (2) of these but it sounds like I may need to order more? Will they attach to each other? I don't have them with me to play with unfortunately at this time. - http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-pro- ... -w746.html

Based on my picture I spun the 90* coming out of the hard tank to face the rear and will trim it to the appropriate length once I determine how I make the curve/turn up to and into the bag rear bottom port.

Can you post another picture of your finished line with the black panel cover removed?

If I'm understanding you correctly I leave the factory installed 90* connector coming out of the hard tank, have a short piece of hose facing towards the REAR, then put a 90* that turns the line facing UP and another 90* that turns the line facing towards the FRONT. So essentially the line does a SIDEWAYS "U" ???

Also, what did you use to cut/trim the black cover panel for the line come up?

THANKS for the help.

And my 2nd question that I wanted to put in a separate post to hopefully make it easier.

I went to install the bow bag tonight and realized that there are not quick connects on the front lines because of the "Y" where the rear lines had the quick connects already on there.

So what do I need to order? (3) more of the 90* elbows?? - http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-pro- ... -w746.html

And while I'm asking questions are these the same thing but MUCH CHEAPER? http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.a ... aQodrpQAGQ

Thanks!!

Cool, I went ahead and ordered (8) more just so I have an extra one or two but also so I have a couple for when I add vents to the bags. Should be here by Saturday so hopefully I can finish up the install and surf for the first time on Sunday!

Hey ThatGuy, I hope you have it all figured out. on my A22, when I spun the hose 180 deg to point towards the stern, I realized I did not have enough room for the straight fitting then the 2 - 90's. so fortunately I used the 90's I had planned on using for the bow sack. install the one 90 ftg into the end of the trimmed hose. then install the other 90 into the first 90, it just pops in. so it in effect makes a U-turn, so now the rear drain is right next to the transom. If you have an T22, and the hose is , say 12 inches long after you have spun it, you can still use 2-90s to make the U-turn.

that picture I posted with the tape measure showing 4" of hose, already has one 90 fitting clamped and siliconed in. all you have to do then is just pop in the 2nd 90. they are made to install that way.

I used a 2-1/8" hole saw, to drill a hole in the board then a sawzall to cut the sides, making a slot.

so today on my A24 the drain of the rear bag kinked and popped off.. is what you are doing here to resolve that issue?

Thank you

Figured I'd update this thread. First off, many thanks to everyone's input. I probably spent way too many hours but I'm basically done at this point, it's ready to go and I plan to try it out first time tomorrow but I need 1 more straight fitting to make how I planned/to my liking.

I ended up doing the rear lines exactly how you described except I didn't have enough height with just the (2) 90*'s to hook up the bag due to the large ring at the port hitting the floor panel so I put the straight connector that was originally on the rear line facing up in between the (2) 90* connectors and it raised it up ever so slightly but enough to where it easily allows the bag to slide in and connect.

Thankfully the other 2 lines, fill and front drain were long enough/had the right connectors so I could just hook them up.

For the bow bag I had a VERY long vent hose and way too short of a fill line so I ended up cutting 26" from the vent hose and replaced the fill line after the check valve with that piece and put a 90* connector on the end of that to the portside rear corner of the bow bag. This left me with enough line on the vent hose to put a 90* connector on it and have it curl slightly to give it room to move when filling.

***This is where I'm slightly stuck at....the drain hose, or the starboard rear connection on the bow bag was also much longer than I needed I believe, and I cut about 12" off of it so that it basically comes out of the floor/carpet and has a straight connection to the bag. I want/think I need to cut it shorter than I did so the bag sits right but then the hose would only stick out like 2" from the hole in the carpet....does this seem right? I was scared to cut it any shorter than the 4-5" I left it at just incase I had to add line back to it because the bag layout changed when filled. I'll play with it Saturday when I take it out but wanted to ask here as well.

I read about people needed to ADD line to get all the connections right but I'm left with AT LEAST a few feet of line that I had to REMOVE to make the connections as best as I thought would work.....so I'm left scratching my head why boat was so different or if I did something wrong.
