Here's some food for thought. A couple years ago a test was done on Sumo, Fly High, and Ronix sacks and their actual weights when filled tight to capacity. The Fly High 1100 filled to right at 1000lbs and the Sumo 900 just barely under 1000lbs. Now, given the sack dimensions of the 1100 and the compartment of the Axis it will not fill tightly and/or expand fully. The A24 and A22 I seen with 1100's filled to what I would call 90% just because there was quite a bit of looseness to the 1100 sack at the point where it wouldn't fill anymore and water was overflowing through the thru-hull port. When I got my Sumo 900's I thought the same overflow would happen towards capacity of the sack when filling. However, to my surprise the 900 filled to capacity and was totally swollen prior to water overflowing. Haven't had an engine wall fail but "yes" there is a very slight bend to it. In the end, you still can't go wrong with the 1100 as the rear sacks.

I had the 900# Sumos in my 2011 A20 and they would fill all the way up with no problems. I thought about going with those again, but my dealer doesn't carry those and wanted to buy from her so I had her order me the 1100's. Worst case, I will just fill it 80-90% full. I rather have too much than not enough IMO. I will order the cross braces from WakeMakers in a few days, as it will be a couple days before I can get my break in done anyways.

is there anyway to get them to hold more water? Mine start peeing water before they look 100 percent full...

I'm no engineer by any remote means but I think the issue is the weight of the water, the location of the thru-hulls, and the dimensions of the sack as it sits in the compartment. I believe the weight of the water reaches a point to where it pushes out water as you are trying to fill...kind of like it's trying to equalize itself. That's exactly why I went with the Sumo 900's. I knew the 1100's did that already, after the ballast sack actual weight test that guy did (with photos of each sack on a scale by the way), I figured try the Sumo 900's because of it's actual full weight and the dimensions were a little tighter than the 1100's.

yea I think the drains are simply to low vs the bags drain?

AJ how does your A24 pull? I noticed mine has very little tongue weight (have not weighed it yet but I can pick it up) and the boat bounces like a mofo on the freeway (I pull with a 1 ton ford)

Hmmm, I've never tried to actually pick my A24 up by the trailer tongue but I don't think I can do it without seriously straining. I also have the 409 motor which is heavier than the 350 so you'd think my boat would be a little more tail heavy. Compared to my A22 it has a little more bounce to the tongue though as you mentioned but nothing scary but I can tell vs my other wakeboats I've owned. Don't know how much added tongue weight 4 batteries has. I pull with a 2007 Dodge 2500 mega cab 5.9L Cummins 2WD.

Yea mine bounces a lot but this is my first boat, that being said I have towed a lot of things over the years and this bounces far worse than anything I have ever towed. Even my friend with an Xstar noticed it within 5 minutes of getting on the freeway. I might have to add some lead to the bow to help in multiple ways :)

Unless you live or boat on a lake with inspection for mussels. $500 fine on my lake if you did that.

OT: My boat bounces a bunch on the highway too!! PITA. Never did that with my old Malibu so I've been trying to figure out what to do about it. Very annoying. I'm thinking about adding airbags to my trucks rear suspension to hopefully calm it down some. Any other ideas?

ON topic: I installed the rear bags and wakemakers divider panel reinforcements tonight, went pretty easy but have a question about the rear most drain hookup. Plan to do the bow bag tomorrow night.

I have a T23 with a 409 at altitude. I have 650 in the front and 900s in the back. With a crew of 8 or so, I had a hard time maintaining surf speed (WOT staying in the 11s but rarely the 12s), so I'd say that's pretty close to maxed out. If you have a smaller crew, or a bigger engine, or maybe just being at a lower altitude, perhaps the 1100s would be useful. An A24 isn't a T23 of course, but they're pretty similar.
