Curious if you all travel with cover on boat and if so...do you use the Axis cover or an aftermarket one.

I had Cory make a custom cover for my old malibu. It worked very well.

I haven't traveled with the factory cover on our Axis yet but we are going on two 6 hour trips this summer with the boat so I may have to depending on weather.

IMO the quality of the cover is less than that of my 1996 Malibu boat cover. We have owned the Malibu since new as well and towed with it more times than I can count without issue.

Off topic....where in Ohio are you?

I've towed with the stock axis cover and have had zero problems. I generally have a lot of gear in my boat when I'm traveling so I prefer a cover to keep it all in one spot. When towing I don't use a pole but I do use the hanging cinch system to take some of the slack out of the middle of the cover. Bakes marine also makes great custom covers. I had one of those on a vlx and did some product testing for one on my T23. They work great!

I own and tow with the evolution cover. I have the factory cover as well for the A24. Factory cover is for sell if anyone wants a spare

I'm in south Dayton. My T23 just arrived at No Wake this week. I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow night or Friday depending on weather.

BTW, great colors on your boat! OH...

I am not confident in towing with my factory cover. Should I use the poles or not if I attempt it?

I also can never seem to get it to secure correctly on the sides below the tower mounts. One side I can snap, but the other is nearly impossible.

Is it a problem if I have to leave boat outside in rain overnight? Will the stock cover keep it dry or does it just soak thru?

I'm taking boat to lake house early in the morning and it will be stored under cover there but I'm worried about tonight.
My other option is to leave it at dealer and leave much later on trip.

I"m taking deliver today so I'm not familar with fit of cover. My last cover on my Malibu was from Cory at Evolution covers.

You will get water in it with factory cover. Mainly around the tower. However, it will still keep a lot of water out. You will not get so much in there you have to worry about anything getting damaged. If you know it will be out in the rain all night with cover I would take the drain plugs out and just put them back in when you get to the lake. Just make sure you don't forget to put them back in!!!

I really like the stock cover (15 t22). My boat will sit out in the driveway until I can get a pole barn up. My boat sat out in a storm today and had zero issues. The interior was very dry (minimal water drops around tower) I got the boat more wet taking the cover off to get in it then it did in 16hours of rain. I feel very comfortable leaving it under the cover. Just my 2 cents
