We had some freinds in from Michigan, my daughter road with a shorty on Turkey day. water 60, air 62 but all sunshine. Only ones on our end of lake Lainer.

rode tuesday here in so cal. air 65ish, water 55. full suit, 3/2. was all alone. very nice.

Went out yesterday. (Dec 31) here in Shreveport, 76 outside the water was 51. Water was like glass.

Rode today. Water 53, Air 58. 40 riders for the 17th annual SML ski club polar plunge

Nice! that's a huge group that showed up for the polar plunge. Even in a 3/2 full wetsuit- that's gotta be a little chilly.

Official count ended up only 32 unique riders, still not bad. Some did multiple runs with different gear - like I WB and later surfed, so it threw the count off a bit. There were a few wetsuits, and a couple drysuits but those were mostly the very young and old. Generally anything but swim trunks is discouraged, especially on such a nice day for Jan 1. I think the ages spanned 9-82. Even got my axis on the evening news (around 50sec mark):

I live in Kilgore, Tx and we have ridin in Shreveport before, but I'm out when it comes to riding in the winter. I'm ready for April.

Went out today @ lake alan henry, water was 46-47 air temp was high 40's, great day to be out in a 5-4-3, just got a new suit and wanted to test it out
