First let me start by saying that I've got about 16 hour on my boat thus far, and everyone can now get up on the wakeboard so I feel I made a wise decision buying a boat. We absolutely love being on the water and should have done it 10 years ago.... Now I have encountered a few quirks and I figured I'd ask to see if I'm alone, and boat is at the dealer now getting fixed, but I'm going to throw it out there anyhow.

1. When changing speed the radio reacts quirky.... Forward the volume increases as expected, however the radio stations change randomly, and when pulling the throttle back toward neutral I find that the input changes from radio->CD->BT->etc etc and the volume goes erratic to about 40 on the dial and literally scares the fish out of the water (actually had one jump into the boat).

2. Oil leak started between filter and remote filter mount and I lost about 2 quarts of oil in about 2 hours time, right into the hull, and got the low oil pressure light/ding. Dealer informed that there was paint on the filter mount which caused the leak and it's all good to go now.

I am picking the boat up today to use for the weekend, but the radio issue hasn't been addressed yet (plan to pull fuse for now) but was wondering what kind of electrical connections are attached to the throttle for the radio. I believe there is a bare wire shorting out causing the issue.

Turn off the auto volume feature. Read the owners manual on how to do it. It honestly sounds like you have a bad deck. I thought I have read on here about someone else's doing the same thing. You should see if your dealer will pull another deck from another axis and swap yours out with it and warranty yours.

The problem with the radio is most likely the remote control plug not being fully seated in its socket. The molded rubber of the minijack is fatter than the deck wants to see and it can make it unplug a little and then it acts screwy. I simply used a sharp knife and trimmed the diameter of the jack a small amount so that it inserts and is properly retained by the plug. No more issues at all. I would not turn the auto volume off as I have come to really like it. I keep it loud enough to enjoy when towing, and it quiets down nicely when we return to talk to or pickup the boarder.

How did the the repair of the oil leak work out. Any further issues? My T22 had the same issue at two weeks. I spent hours washing out the oil in the hull. It was mixed with bilge water and got everywhere under the deck. I'm hoping that my dealer fixed it. Must be a design flaw in the oil filter extension design.

I was out for 16 hours this weekend and no issues. Apparently the remote filter unit had paint on the mounting surface which dissolved and allowed the filter to leak. Dealer scraped it all off of the machine surfaced area and no more issues. As for under the deck.... They cleaned it to the best of their abilities and put some absorbent pads down which have done well at soaking up the water. I take it back this week for them to clean again. All seems well.
