I thought I read someone complaining of the board racks that hit the speakers when you spin them into boat.

Is that true? And would I then want to order the boat with board racks at the lower position on the tower?
Are the racks specific for upper or lower position?

thanks for any input

Since day one of the Axis brand you put the racks where you want, they fit upper or lower. You're not going to spin the racks in with boards and tower speakers in the upper position but lower position you can even spin surf boards in the racks.

Thanks, I've just sold my Malibu and am moving to Axis in the new boat.

The swivel racks in the upper position have very little clearance with sound pack 3. I didn't test them with boards but I can't imagine being able to spin them all way way in.

Bindings will hit the speakers if you have a wakeboard in the top slot of the top rack. I can swivel in if I have a surf board in that slot though

I put mine in the lower position. Easier to reach and no worries about forgetting to fold them in prior to lowering the tower.
