Hello All!
I have a 2011 A20 that I bought new and has only 36 hours on it. No problems with the boat until now.
This past Fall I preformed all the Storage Procedures listed on this Forum. I live in the mountains of Colorado and we can have extremely low temps for extended periods of time so I also removed the battery and kept it in my heated garage. The boat was then stored in a un-heated garage for 6 months.
I pulled the boat out this week. I reversed all the Winterizing Procedures (replaced plugs, reinstalled the battery, etc), attached a 'fake-a-lake' and fired her up in the driveway. Almost immediately I got a 'Service Required' message with loud beeping across my dash. I scrolled through the gauges and oil pressure, temp and volts all seemed to be normal and the motor ran fine with water coming out of the exhaust normally. I shut off the motor, restarted it and the alert returned after a minute or so. Motor still runs fine and will even rev in neutral. I shut her down again, checked the oil (fine), and decided to put her in the water to test again. I fired her up on the trailer in the lake, ran fine but still beeping. I let her warm up on the trailer, took her for a quick spin around the lake and she ran fine. No hesitation, no RPM limit, temp is fine, oil pressure is fine, no water leaks.
Is there a way to decifer why the boat is giving me the warning without hauling her out to the dealer? I do all my own maintenance on all my toys/vehicles and I'd like to solve this myself, especially since it seems like it might be a minor issue. Also, I'm 100 miles from my Dealer so it would be an all day ordeal to get the boat to Denver, not to mention the diesel cost there and back.
Any guidance or advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Max
