I'm wanting to add tower speakers to my A-20 and was thinking about putting the MTX 6.5" that has been coming on the new Axis. I've now heard they're changing to Wetsounds. Am I wasting my money getting the MTX? Don't want to spend too much but I want it to sound good. Any body got any suggestions?

I have had a couple different wake boats with a few different tower speaker setups. If you don't care about hearing the speakers while you are riding just go with the MTX speakers. They sound pretty decent around the boat. If you want to hear the speakers while riding I would go with a pair of WS Pro 80s. Since the new WS rev speakers are out I have seen pro 80s for 600. So, 600 plus a good amp - you could have a killer tower set up for around 1k.

Agree- i went with kicker 6500.2 hlcds. You can hear them riding 70ft out, but im wanting something louder. Probably gonna sell and go wetsounds 3some, or rev 8/10's. I wouldnt do the pro60's either if youre wanting big sound while you ride

That's exactly what I was looking for. I was afraid the MTX wouldnt be heard while riding. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I don't want to spend a little and it not sound good either. I'm going to look for those pro 80's for that price. Hadn't seen them that cheap.

That price was for used ones. Buying used speakers can be fairly risky. Speakers can be mistreated very easily, even without the owner trying to do so on purpose.

I'm keeping my eye on eBay. There's a few bids on this one. I'll just have to see how high it gets. Wish I could afford those Rev 8's. They look sweet!!
