I installed my ws420 exactly as stated above and I get a loud thump if you turn off the ignition with the radio on, anyone know how to remedy this?

Where is your ground wire? I had a few noise problems with my 420 until I ran it straight to the battery.

It's grounded to head unit just like the picture in the above post.

When I did my install (I had SP1) I ran a new constant hot and ground straight from the battery to the deck and WS420SQ. It eliminates the potential for noise and popping. Especially with a dual or triple battery setup.
