Opinions on the new tower

Jayman...thanks for the pics!

I thought I read somewhere that in earlier years, like 2012-2014 there was a tower 'upgrade' and I thought that was the differences between the two pics. I guess I just didn't see enough to put it all together. Was there only one tower option in all prior years?

EDIT....just googled, what is the "fat ax tower upgrade" on a 2013 for example?

The upgraded v2 tower on previous years just gave you hinges on the side supports so you didn't have to take them off entirely to fold the tower. When the tower is up, v1 and v2 look the same. The 2015 tower is a totally new design.

So this is kinda minor but, I really like the new tower because I can jump into the driver's seat from the side since there is more room between the tower and the windshield. Helps when I'm pushing the boat off the dock.

I went from a '14 to a '15 this year and the new tower is a great improvement. I know it looks a little different, but the function is all better.

on my '13 i had to collapse it everytime and it was not a one man job. hopefully on my 15 when it comes in it will be easier. that was a major flaw in the tower design.

I fold my tower down to get the boat in the garage every time I use it and its very easy. I don't have tower speakers but I've never had help and when the weather is nice the boat goes out almost every day.

The 15 is much easier... you will be happy.

I have 410s and fabricated a support to keep the tower off the struts... they are heavy as hell! :-)

I'm not a huge fan of how it looks on the a24, I think it leaves too much room behind the driver uncovered but it seems to fit the shorter boats nicely. "My dealer told me" a major influence for the redesign was the a20 owners smacking their heads when stepping on to the motor compartment/sunpad.
