As the title states, do you garage your boat? Indoor storage, home garage, detached garage, lean-to, carport, or just leave the beast in your driveway?

I know for most people on this forum, our boats are our babies... me included. I don't doubt that this has been asked before but people situations change so figured I'd get some current opinions.

I personally pay $100 a month for indoor storage facility (10x40ft), but the killer is that it is an hour away. On weeks/weekends when I'm using my boat a lot I just park it on my lawn so I don't have to drive out there, redneck style. My main justification for storage facility is that I'll leave for 90 days at a time and can't check up on it if something is up with the cover, storms, stolen stereo, etc.

I've got a two car garage, but two car garages in TN really mean "barely fit a honda civic garage". Was contemplating paving a driveway extension and putting up a carport but I can't justify pouring that kind of cash into my current place (small house, small lot, transient military suburb). For now I'll just dream big I guess, nice place on some acreage with a detached workshop/garage with more room than I know what to do with!

So what's everyone else setup?

We are lucky enough to have good indoor storage about a mile away from where we launch. It's a little over $100/mo, think it's a 10x30. Well worth it until I can get a slip and a lift.

I carport mine with a cover on it. During the winter I put a cover over the swimdeck too. Mine sits on the North side of my house so it stays out of the direct sunlight most of the time.

I couldn't sleep if my boat was outside. Here's my unit, disregard the old looking wakeboards but this pic is about 7 years old. I like the raised concrete floor so water can't get in from the outside, roll top door better than 2 door style, it has overhead lights, and power. Measures 30x14 and my tower stays up. $105 a month.

I bought my carport when I got my Centurion three years ago. It is a 12'x24'x9'. It cost about 2k. I ordered it online from carports.com. I love it. It definitely is convenient. I prefer this method over storage.

Mine is in the climate controlled basement. No need to winterize which saves some time and money. Only drawback is the tower needs to be lowered and guide posts removed to get it in and out. Probably a half hour of work to save 100 plus dollars a month or leave exposed outside.
