Thanks for all the replies everyone. Sounds like I need to do a bit more negotiating. If I were to ask for some extra options like upgraded stereo and speakers, swivel board racks, high altitude prop, etc. do you think the 62500 range sounds more reasonable?

Maybe full plug n play bags (900lb+ rear bags and arrow sac up front) already setup with properly ran vent lines. A 2315 prop, 4 swivel racks, and deck track, and maybe the first 20 hour tune up and winterization thrown in for free.

You won't get upgraded stereo so don't bother even asking that since the boat is already in stock and built. The dealer isn't going to give you free Wet Sounds then be stuck with "used" stock stereo stuff out of the box. Definitely ask for ballast sacks and I'd get the Sumo 750's or 900's for the rear to take advantage of the larger ballast lines. You might ask for your break-in service comped. If there's no spare tire on the trailer that would be cheap add-on the dealer could do for you.

Plug and Play bags are almost $1k worth of value, so that's definitely a good negotiation tactic. I doubt you're gonna get all of what dezul recommended.

Seriously though, that price isn't high enough to be worrying. If you're buying from a GOOD dealer which known good service and reputation, then you're going to be in GREAT shape.

It's a $60k boat, are you really going to split hairs for 1 or 2 thousand here or there?

You're still at a lower number than this USED boat, viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2730 and while you don't have wetsounds, you will certainly get a better loan rate and that "new boat smell".

On second thought, if tge dealer has a line on Wet Sounds you might ask for WS420 EQ or maybe at dealer cost. IMO since the boat has tower speakers a dual zone control EQ like the WS420 is a must so you can adjust sound volume/quality on the tower vs cabin independently.

I think the pricing sounds pretty reasonable for that boat. I don't think you are getting ripped off. Some people may get a better deal or worse deal depending on their region and relationship with the dealer. If you can get some extra options out of the deal that would definitely help, but I don't think it should necessarily be a deal breaker.

At 50 hours, the boat is barely used. 30hrs of which are break in hours with no ballast/wedge. So you are looking at 20 hours of ballast time. As you mentioned, it also has all the wetsounds gear and other options that the new boat does not (heater, torque prop, dual batteries, etc.). And that's the asking price.... could be had for less... ;)

Yeah sorry to use you as an example. Definitely not saying you're boat isn't worth your asking price, just saying that the boat OP is looking at ISN'T NOT worth the price, and using you as a reason why.

I hope you get every dime out of yours!

oh and, used is used. new is new. 50 hours is nothing, but anyone shopping for a boat will consider new to be a benefit. Not to mention you have to pay Malibu to transfer the warranty.

Area of the country you are in, options, and other factors will come into play on the price. And I have to disagree with you on anyone shopping for a boat will consider new to be a benefit. I have a few friends who will absolutely not purchase a brand new boat for multiple reasons.
