I took a couple pics out of the forum here hoping to see how these were made? More so what material do you think its made out of? Assuming its some kind of plastic, where would you buy that?

One of these is bolted and the other has no bolts showing, so curious if anyone knew how it was secured?

No intention to steal anyones photos, but just wanted some ideas how to replicate what they did

I have seen some make it with MDF and coat it in resin and bedliner. I believe the one is anchored with velcro instead of bolts. Its on my to-do list this winter for my '15.

Thanks ridebutter, think im gonna attempt to make me one out of MDF. I like the velcro idea. I'll try to get to it in the next couple of weeks.

Looks like expanded metal. Maybe local steel supply store?

I did this the other day. The sub is a false front. I just put the tented screen behind the grill. I got a yard of vinyl that match and covered the board. Super easy and super cheap

My T22 didnt come with a sub so I put a W6 in a box behind the kick plate. I was going to build a kick plate like one of these, now im thinking I should just cut a square hole and put the mesh in the stock kickplate and call it a day. Not sure how good it will look though, especially since its carpeted, I really like the look of these bedliner sprayed kick plates.

1/2" birch plywood with a sealing primer and bed liner sprayed on. The grate is expanded metal that I coated with bed liner. The tricky part was getting the right bottom corner to sit flush. Originally I bolted the face on but ended up going to Velcro. I also added subwoofer cloth to hide the cavity and sub.
Btw, mine is the first picture. Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier.
