The Axis A-22 has been a boat I have had my eye on since they have came out and my dealer has a 2009 demo boat they are selling for a discounted price that has the 335 hp engine. I know they come with two different engines and I wondering what engine most people have in there boat. I know with running the plug and play system a person should have the power prop, but if you run additional ballast is the 400 hp engine worth the money or is the 335 hp engine enough power

I have the 335 and after installing the acme 14.5/12.75 it have no problem getting out of the hole with3000 # additional ballast wedge and 8 people in the boat. Crusing speed is about 28 . Runs about 34 wide open.

same for us, 335 with plug n play, had 10 people in the boat at Shasta, all tanks/bags full, wedge down with the acme wake prop, and boat pulled just fine! must say that the wake was huge with that many peeps in the boat!

our local dealer orders all his with the 335. I think adding the 1235 prop would do the trick for sure. you can get the 1615 for $521 or the 1235 for $582

I have the 400hp motor. Its a nice to have but not needed - an upgraded prop is a must have.

Thanks dbragg I ordered one today and called Rinda Technologies and ordered a diagnostic scanner that will read the boat so I can figure out that damn service required message that keeps popping up.
