Very true.

How hard is it to lower/raise the wedge with the FAE?

Haha, I see that Larry is now using the new mounting bracket mounted to the wedge bracket that he prototyped with my boat. I do have to say I am disappointed that I can no longer lower the wedge via the trap door. I just can't get a hand on both pins at once. It is still possible to pull the wedge back up through the door.

Does that mount require any drilling into the wedge mount? Like Walter I made my own bracket that attaches to the wedge mount - worse thing I've even had to drill through.

I also recently replaced the hose clamps that came with my kit with a T-bolt type clamp. Fixed the slipping problem I was experiencing.

Nope, that mount basically clamps onto the top plate of the wedge bracket. I didn't have to drill anything for my install. I'd post pictures but the ones above cover it pretty well. Maybe I can get a better angle on the bracket for you though.
