I live in B.C. Canada and contacted a dealer in Portland Oregon and he told me it is against policy to sell out of country and wouldn't even give me a quote. Anybody know about this policy or a way to get around it?

On new boats dealers are not allowed to sell out of territory. Canada would be considered out of territory for USA dealers. Used boats are normally ok to sell out of territory. You can also buy from an individual.

Any reason you want to buy outside of your home country? Pricing should be universal once taxes/shipping are taken in to consideration.

The other thing to consider here is dealer support, your local dealer may not look kindly on not being offered the chance to compete with another countries dealer; which may be
important when service/warranty issues arise.

I think there's a way for you to get a quote. Contact a sales representative from Axis. They usually have one sales representative that focuses on International sales, especially in areas where there's no exclusive/official dealer. As such, they will assist you with the purchase. But they cannot help you with the service.

If you want the international dealers number or info let me know. I had to purchase the same way because of the lack of dealers in the area.
