The we're a Malibu and Axis dealer but not anymore. Not quite sure who dropped who though.

Dealer sounds like a douche bag. Glad you got their name out there so others can avoid them. I would hope that Malibu can make this situation right for you. Good luck. Keep us posted if Malibu is willing to assist you in any of this.

See who is the new dealer from Malibu/Axis and I would take my boat to a new dealer no matter how far it is. If I had to drive a few hours and leave the boat over the winter months I would do that instead of trying to get the old dealer that is not an Axis shop anymore to work on it. If they are no longer a dealer they might not be obligated to work on your boat and are probably not that eager to please a customer of a line they cannot sell in the future.

Malibu suggested I take it to Orlando. But that's 4 hours away at 8mpg, I would like to avoid that, lol.

Might be that I am bullheaded but I would drive the 4 hours at 8mpg just so the local dealer did not get my business. :) I might have a problem that requires therapy.

If the Orlando dealer is going to be your only option I would go ahead and build that relationship. If you get to the point where they can work with a local repair shop they can organize the part ordering etc and get the local repair shop to do the labor.

I have seen dealers that will have a good local repair person that will handle some of the warranty repair work for them so they do not have to send a mechanic out from the main dealership.

Call the Orlando dealership and see what they can do for you. Worth a shot since calling the local dealer just gets your blood boiling.

I don't know if its any closer for you, but i would give Billy Nichols (Owner) of Ski Boat Solutions in Ocala, Fl a try. They are an authorized Malibu/Axis dealer. I had a great experience with them.

That's $200 in gas. I'm not rich but I could defiantly come up $200 to get me back on the water. How much time and money have you spent dealing with your current dealer an still no boat?

Time to bit the bullet and take a road trip. Make a vacation out of it and go ride some roller coaster at universal.

Now that Malibu has suggested you take your boat to Orlando and you haven't, I wouldn't be mad again at this local dealer given their history. You've been given an option and you haven't used it. It falls back on you at this point since you didn't want to tow it. Sorry but most of us on here agree with that you should've have towed it. As far as 2 weeks wait for service, I've seen it before but I was always scheduled ahead of time (this was a Supra dealer a years ago when I had a Supra).
