I wouldnt feel bad about asking the dealer that or any other questions. You are buying an expensive boat from them!
Agreed!!! Get what you can now. Even if you feel like they are going to be great for service. This will test that point.
One mistake I made during delivery was just being awestruck by the new boat, and not looking it over thoroughly. Look that think over with a fine tooth comb, document, take pictures. Have them write it all down and agree to have it all fixed during the off season. Little things like bad stitching may not seem like a big deal but once your making that payment it starts to irritate you much more.
I'm hoping my "awestruck" moment doesn't come back to bite me in a couple months when I drop the boat off with a list with a least a dozen items on it to be fixed. Mostly small just irritating things. I don't think I have a lemon at all. All new boats have bugs that need to be worked out. Don't get me wrong I love my boat and my dealer has been good so far, but these are hand built toys and things get overlooked and Malibu/Axis just pushes that repair on to the dealer instead of taking the time to fix it at the factory. I've heard some horror stories on TMC that just make me sick. I hope I spent $70k in the right dealership.
