I agree that prices are going up fast but these boats are nowhere near the boats that came out in 2009.

Who is to really blame for the price increases??? The customers who continue to buy buy buy and all the people who push for higher quality and more options. Does anyone on here truly know anyone who has ever bought a no option boat? :)

Ps that color combo is Saweeet

Mine didn't have many. Base engine, no stereo, no heater, solid color as previously stated. Basically the cover, bimini, and the things that required the hull to be drilled (cleats, lights, depth finder, and wedge). MSRP was a tad over $50K, but I paid far less. I've since added stuff like dual batteries, ballast, stereo, ChillAX. If I were in the market today, I'd probably be looking at V-Rides, instead.

I made my deal at the L.A. Boat Show and I got my 2014 A22 for less that I see folks on this board asking for their used 2014 A22 boats. The trick is in making a good deal and taking advantage of incentives. I also had two dealers in different states in a bidding war which helped.

The 50K included a trailer?

Aren't v-rides gone now? I think they stopped making them a year or two ago. I didn't understand why they didn't dump them sooner. When I bought my boat in '12, I could get a nicely optioned A22 for about the same price as a base ride

Finally made it to Great Wakes Boating today very great place and very nice people! They said the 2015 went up 6% so on a T22 was gonna be 3700 they priced me a pretty much loaded T22 for 62k which I didn't think was to bad. But I'm sure if started wheeling and dealing it would of came down some.
So figure a 2015 T22 would be around 66-67k.

Sorry I didn't get back here to answer those questions:
- Yes the price included the trailer, I'll see if I can dig up the MSRP sheet I have somewhere.
- The V-Ride apparently is no longer around. But I found it to be a much nicer boat. Fit and finish were far superior. All those little things like hinged cushions and finished carpet just add up. Didn't have the dash or power wedge or all that that the more spendy 'Bu's had. NOw I haven't looked at one of the newer A22's, so maybe some of that has been addressed. But when I was in the market, the Axis offered nothing over the Ride other than a price point. The point I was making was that the price if the Axis has increased so much that that price point thing is no longer there. In my case, in '11, the Axis probably 20% less expensive. Looks like in '12, they were about the same. Given how much the price of the Axis has gone up, they would now have certainly surpassed it.

Why do you presume that the vride prices wouldnt have increased at the same rate as all the other malibus?

They may have. Poster above indicated that they were similar in '12. When I got mine, the V-Rides were more expensive. Have 'Bu's gone up as much as Axis? I assume not, maybe I am mistaken. If they were the same price, I'd probably go with a V-Ride. But I'm also not where I was in life 3 years ago. Kids are older, they are the ones behind the boat instead of me. Just bought a lakehouse. It'll be just the family more often so the 21' V-Ride which seemed too small then may be good now.

Here's the MSRP on my boat from when I ordered it. $51.2K Image

Actually, I just spec'd my boat. MSRP on it if I ordered as a 2014 today still comes in at $60.2K. So maybe they haven't gone up as much as I thought.

What I said was that a loaded axis was about the same as a base model v-ride in '12. That's not the same price when I had over $10k in options on the axis.
