I have a 2011 A20. I cant keep the damn thing from porpoising if there is any weight in the back. The boat has to be weighted JUST right with no rear weight and just a bit of front weight to keep from porpoising above 27-28 MPH. (and when I run this fast, the wedge is up) I figured that one out right away the first time I went over 26 mph! Anyone have any suggestion here? i still like to slalom every once in a while, and i like to be able to run WOT here and there for the fun of it.

You gotta drain the whole thing if you wanna go over 26 MPH. You don't want any weight while skiing anyway right??

Do you have the wedge down when this is happening.

I also have an A20 and water ski everyday, we also love to buz to our favorite spots at 40+ MPH and have never had a issue with porpoising. If you have checked to make sure all your tanks are empty and you don't have anything else heavy in the rear of the boat I am not sure what else to check. The A20 is a great all purpose boat, we get a great wake with the Wicked Wake for surfing, my kids all love the wake for wakeboarding, and like I said the wake for skiing works very well for me. Good luck figuring this out.

You dont think the bimini could cause any issues do you? I suppose I usually have some water still in bags and tanks since it takes for ever to get it all out. Ill try her WOT next time I go out before I fill any bags and see how that goes.

This stumps me as well. In the few years I've been a member on here this is the first I've heard of porpoising issue with any Axis

One other member posted something about porpoising a few years ago and I thing it had to do with exactly what you guys are talking about, too much rear weight

I agree...if the boat weight is biased towards the rear, make sure you are empty in the rear when cruising or at least fill the front some.
