Not going to be near 3700 rpm for surfing. I have the L96 motor with 2419 prop and surf at 11.2 mph at 3100 rpm. Top speed is also about 38mph.

Unless Axis changed the factory "torque prop" option to the 2313, it was the 2419 which will smoke the 2313 as for as what it can pull. However, the 2313 and 2315 are amazing, versatile props. You'll probably get more top speed with less ballast/crew carrying capacity with the 1235.

I have the 2313, it's the "torque prop" offered this year. Another factor is the transmission ratio. I don't know if you saw the pic of the tranny plaque from a few posts back but the ratio on the 450 is 1.72:1 and I think the ratio from the Indmar engines was 1.52:1. So if your familiar with "gearing", the 1.72 is a higher ratio, more like a lower gear in a 4x4. The output shaft spins 1.72 rotations for every full rotation of the prop vs 1.52 rotations. Your RPM's will always be a bit higher with this ratio no matter what prop you run. And consequently your top speed is decreased.

Gotcha...so now there's a gear ratio thrown in for 2015 to confuse and add to the stress of ordering a custom boat which also will throw off what most of us have learned about prop performance the last few years. With that low of gear in the 450 I can see why the torque prop is now the 2313 because the 2419 would be crazy rpms and crazy low top speed. Maybe the 1235 will be the magic middle ground SUV prop again for the 450

Ya, but it's like a $600-$700 option, aftermarket kits are less than $400

Well...if anyone optioned for an underseat cooler you just paid $200 for a $24 cooler you could've gotten at Walmart for the EXACT same cooler.

My '14 A24 had that sticker...found it funny but I guess there's always "that guy" that needs a sticker for everything lol

Given you have a different gear ratio for your transmission, have you considered a different prop that will allow you to achieve the results you are looking for?

so with the new tranny ratio(1.72:1) and the torque prop(ACME 2313) here's the skinny on RPM's:

Surfing: This boat likes weight, lots of bow and center weight to lengthen the wave

11.6 mph = 3100 rpm
12.0 mph = 3200 rpm
12.4 mph = 3300 rpm

11.8, wedge down about 5k in ballast, this is a friend of mine, he was riding the new phase 5 AKU which I had a chance to ride and it rips! Lots of control and fast!

wakeboarding: I had 8 people(1500lbs?) and 3500lbs of ballast and it took about 4-5 seconds to plane out. I think you could add in another 1.5k in ballast before you have planing problems with this setup. The other nice thing is that the A24 has a 78 gallon fuel tank which adds: 6lbs per gallon x 78 = 468lbs!! I'll get some pics up.

20.0 mph = 3750 rpm
22.0 mph = 3950 rpm

I'll throw the ACME 1235 on one day and get some comparison numbers.

Wow, those rpm numbers are way high. I wonder how fuel consumption goes. Maybe it's not as bad as it sounds as the engine won't struggle as much to turn those rpms due to the gear ratio?
