This is right from wetsounds own install guide. Remember the head unit still has a preamplifier, and that is subject to clipping like any other amp is.

http://www.wetsounds.com/media/products ... lation.pdf

"2) Turn the radio up to find the maximum volume. Set the system with the head unit volume at 85% of max. This is the loudest the radio should ever go. Radios will create distortion the higher the volume is turned up. Which will create distortion on the output signal before reaching the amps. So find a safe easy to remember volume. If the head unit is 35. Max should be 30. If the head unit is 40."

Yes, that is the paragraph I was referring to. But ... I can tell you it's not there at 50. Also creates a safety net so the speakers can't be overpowered IMO; Tim's been installing over 20 years and a Wetsounds dealer / installer ... I'll be sure to get his feedback on the documentation vs. how it was setup. He did say how the sub was wired from the deck to the amp was wrong, the sub recieved more signal the louder it was and the sub control knob was useless (as I noted to him it didn't do anything to begin with). I think the factory did a great job on the install otherwise. Less the Sub box ... better than a free air install but the space is there, why not just do it right?

I am having the exact same issue with my 2014 A-24 with sound pack 3. When I crank up the volume it fixes (sometimes). Taking it into dealer for second time for same issue. Agree very frustrating. Let me know if you find out what the fix is and I will post up here if my dealer figures it out.

guys I have been chasing a white noise issue for a few weeks (was fine until stereo was tuned and they turned the gains up on amps)... Exile guys said to ground the deck and Bluetooth directly to the battery and now no noise at all!
