JMorr, in my last post I mentioned that we opened up the speedometer unit and let it dry out based off of Walter's suggestion. I didn't think that would do it, but in our case it actually did the trick. I forgot to update the thread, but when we went back over the next weekend we reassembled the Airmar piece and everything worked great. We never had another problem with it.
Is it just the digital gauge that isn't working or is it both the digital and the analog? When we had the issue, both of them stopped working.

The only one I was really paying attention to at the time was the digital gauge. I got in the boat last night and reset the guages, opened up the paddle wheel and found some water in it as you stated above. I proceeded to dry it out and put it back together, then get below the boat and spun the paddle wheel while my wife watched the gauges. It seemed to register instantaneously. Fingers crossed that this worked.
