So I guess what I need is how does the water respond coming off transom

Also how does it respond coming off the bottom of hull like this

Its delayed convergence like this:



The water have to take a longer path on the non-surf side, so the crest of the wake shifts to that side. If the NSS (or delay) is too large, then the wave height suffers. If the NSS (delay) is too small, then the wave is not clean (white water).

I knew it was delayed convergence I just couldn't visualize how it formed when they met. and I was more of how each part (side & bottom) altered the different parts of the wave
