Wanted to replace the plastic cupholders for stainless. I found a good deal on some quality/reasonably priced SS cupholders on ebay, so I pulled the trigger.
Makes a pretty big difference.

Since owning the boat, I haven't liked the holders on either side of ski pylon. Anyone who puts a beer in there with a koozie ends up pulling out the entire holder. Looking at it, the depth was enough to allow for the larger cupholder to fit. I cut the bottom off a larger black cupholder and used it as a template. Then made the cut on the black plastic (not padding or vinyl). Test fit the larger cup from the bottom as the excess vinyl on top prevents it from seating.
When done, trim 1/4" of vinyl off and you're done. Just go slow and test fit throughout the process.

Looks very nice! Could you post an ebay link to the ss cup holders?

Sure thing- these are for the larger ss holders

These are the smaller ones: I only used 2 (in the bow area).
They don't come with the rubber grip on the inside and I had to drill a hole in middle for water. I also used AJ's method (electrical tape) to keep them secure.

Here are a couple others I used from Amazon (Big ones fit perfect, smaller ones a little loose but were perfect for the LED rings, allowed room for the wire):

Here's another finished pic of larger cupholder mod next to ski pylon.
