A cool front just rolled through Houston area. Lows in the mid 40's tonight. Water temp will be below 80. Just wondering how late you all ride and what water temp? Gonna think about a 3/2 wetsuit to run through November.

So Cal, riding thursday with Ed (ELC). I usually ride into first week of december in a 1mm heater shirt. Then start up in march with a 3/2 full.

I'm not a fan of the cold or daylight savings. Anyone have a 3/2 wetsuit recommendation? I hear the ones with taped seams are much better than glued/sewn seams as they don't let the water come in as fast.

A sealed seem suit is usually best. The best suits are also with neck gaskets. Typically they zip in the front too. If you have a back zipper make sure the suit has a flush protector. Wearing a wet suit takes getting used to. I wear a 4/3 oneil and I dont care if I sweat. I hate cold water. Most think a suit will save you from cold water and it can after a little while in the water. The suit has to flush first to get warm. The suit can take a little while to actually feel warm in it. The protectors keep then from reflushing. I have friends that will wear a 2mm in 45 degree water because they hate thick suits not being as flexible and sweating. Lastly you should not feel a noticed difference in a 3/2 and 4/3 flexibility. You will notice the temp difference in the 4/3. We surf year round in VA Beach if and when there are waves. We break from boarding end of Oct to end of Feb or March. Lastly dont get a suit with a hood! It gets so annoying having it flap around. When you wear a hood wakeboard it usually gets in your peripheral vison.

Season would have been long over and winterized by now in ny. Here in SW VA, the water is still 70. Rode last weekend with a 1mm top. Also 'snow' boarded in the same day. The only puble snowflex mt is about an hour from my place. Both felt strange in oct
