Has anyone with a heater installed this? If so, where did you relocate the driver side vent? I am thinking about doing away with it and installing another hot tube on the side.

check the thread 'under dash sub' in the 'General Discussion'. Walter has the heater option and has done the install (with pics).

Well if you use the 2012 footwell I think the heater will be fine because someone said that the axis factory setup was for a free air sub, if you use the box from scream marine you can still fit everything in there but you will need to relocate the heater assembly down a bit and depending on vent location remove the inner tube for the extendable vent. I'll remove my vent and get some pictures from inside the footwell for clearance references, in a few days, it's getting the gelcoat repaired right now, but I'm not gonna worry too much about its function because I have a hard time getting people to go ride when it's cold enough to use the heater, it's usually just me and my buddy with the tige taking it out for a day.

I just used a dremel tool and routed a hole in the top of the footwell and relocated the heater vent. Took all of 20 minutes.

Thanks for the info guys. I am using the sub that came with stereo package 2 and figure it's not a free air sub so was able to fit the box from the dry compartment behind the footwell. The box is making it difficult to mount the driver's heater vent. Does anyone have any recommendations for a free air sub and how does it sound with the new footwell?
