I have been on google for about an hour now trying to find a direct answer for how to rid the dock/boat of spiders. Our Axis sits on a hydrohoist lift in a covered dock.

I have used home defense all over the surface of the dock, the poles of the dock and sprayed inside the boat in areas under the seat cushions. I can clean the boat spotless from top to bottom and kill every spider around and by next weekend I can barely see the boat through all the spider webs.

Has anybody had an experience like this? I am willing to try any product so I don't have to spend 20 minutes killing spiders before people can get on the boat.

(side note: i'm pretty deadly with a flip flop) :D

I think these guys are installing systems on lake LBJ and others that have spider problems:

Some type of automatic system to remove the area of spiders.

I have no experience with this I just remember a buddy getting into this business at the last boat show.

I had a problem with them in my boat right after i got it so i doused my boat storage area with it and it took care of the problem. I use it around the house, boat storage etc. and it works great. You might have to use it more often since you are out in the elements, but it definitely adds a protective barrier.

A four pack (1 box) will make a pretty potent 4 gallon's of spray.

I like the idea of an automatic setup on the dock but with the spiders really only being a problem 3 months out of the year I don't think that is too practical. I work 5 minutes from a tractor supply so I think i'm going to try Jmorr's product recommendation this weekend. The name of the pesticide is "demon" so that inspires confidence. Tundra A22, this product says it treats ants as well. I've never had an ant problem but I will post a review once I spray this stuff.

I have had very good luck with unleashing 2 of these under the boat cover and letting it sit at least a day:

I do it twice a year (as needed).

Someone somewhere told me to spray the docklines (I assume you use them as a failsafe in case the hydrohoist fails). It actually made a pretty big difference, I was surpirsed to find out.
