Wanting to add another board rack to the tower for a wider rack (a surfboard I use doesn't quite fit in the bottom portion of the factory racks)

What have people used that has a larger opening, but still looks similar to the factory rack? I don't need it to swivel like my others, but don't want it to look like some random thing I bolted on either.

A second questions is if people are adding single rack are they adding or port or starboard? Randomly was thinking about where it might get in the way less.

I would put it on the opposite side that you dock on. So I think in most people's cases, the Port side because the boat pulls to the starboard side.

I use skylon racks on my 2013. No issues, good build quality. http://www.skylonsports.com/wakeboard-racks.html

My factory rack is the swivel rack and we have room in the top slot for our surf board.
If we had to add a rack and it wasn't a swivel rack I would definitely go to the port side. I would also consider adding it to the top spot and moving the swivel rack to the bottom in case we ever tied up with a lot of boats.

I ground down my factory rack with an angle grinder to get my triple x board to fit, No more rubber on the bottom but I just make sure I get the pad on the bare metal tines - be carfeul if you put the triple x in the rack for a long time it dents in a little - the dents seem to come out if they are not too deep. I'll take a picture tomorrow morning when I get the boat out.
