I remember the first time we floated a brand new boat thru the cut. Talk about the depth meter going crazy and not thinking we were going to make it...

But once it opened up it was a great day on the water.

I was terrified. I had my old boat back then and thought it looked like a scene from Apocalypse Now. I had previously ridden Summerville and Conroe. It's a great river.
The only time I've seen the cut closed in the last 3 years was the drought. We had to use the public 19 launch during that time.

Event schedule

Fri- ride and possibly hang out at the pavilion.

Sat- ride and tie up at 4 pm. Fajitas will be served at 7 pm. I am still unsure as to whether we will have to charge for food. It may be fully sponsored, but will be $5 or less per plate. Raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20.

Sun- ride or leave. Maybe both!!

I want to thank everyone that is planing on coming. Should be an awesome time! !
