I am sure Gel Coat issues have been covered. I have a strange one for you. I took boat in for service, got it back went out one night late so did not see this right of way. Today, fathers day I get out of water and wipe boat done like normal and see (see attached photos) Now the photos are not easy to see but let me tell you what I think it is. To me it looks like a machine made sander did this. I mean it looks like someone tried to sand the bottom of my hull. I have not rubbed anything and it is not a scratch, it is machine or man made looking. Maybe some of the coating come off, I don't know. I am not even sure how to approach it with dealer.
I am pissed because i treat this boat very well, and being black I dry it off every time. I would love to get ideals from you all.
By the way this is bottom of hull half way down on the port side, its about 2 foot in length.
Thanks

That's really sucks. I had somewhat of the same problem. So after picking up my new axis, we stop at a gas station to fill the boat because we were going out the next weekend. When I got out and looked at the boat there was about 200 little 2inch scratches going down the one side of the boat. So I was trying to figure out were this happened, there was no way it happened while we were trailering it for about an hour. Then I remember, we took the boat out for a test drive, when they tied the boat the dock after they launched it, they did not use any buoys. This made perfect sense because the scratches were only on one side of the boat at approximately the right height.
This really made me made so when Monday came around I called the dealership and complained that they did this to my boat. They simply said that there docks could not have done that to my boat because there there docks have the buoys attached to the dock (little thin piece of rubber the runs along the side of the dock that won't protect your boat at all). So with a bit of arguing they agreed to look at it when I take the boat in for the 20 hour check.
In the end I took some scratch remover and went over it 3 or 4 times. Removed the scratches so that you can't see them unless you are trying to find them. I wanted to make sure that I left some fit when I take it to the dealership. But let's be real the dealership is not going to do anything about bit it is worth a try.
I really just wish I noticed the scratches before I left with my new boat so I could have showed them that it did happen there.

Here's a pic of it. Really hard to see because a black boat in the sun is like a mirror. But these scratches run down the whole side of the boat.

In all my years of wakeboats, not just Axis, I've never seen a gel issue like this.?

Here are the photos of the damage, mine is on the bottom of the boat. It is almost like there was damage that was either covered up and what ever they used came off or someone took a sander to it because its too perfect in pattern.
