Here is what I would do if I were going to do the pixel camo. Make sure to rotate it a bit so its not perfectly horizontal, smaller print I think the squares are a little large and I would leave a little solid color to make it pop a bit more. I mocked one up quickly in photoshop.

I would also see if they could do a pixelated fade to the solid color

i like the fade also..you could throw a little color in there like the lines behind the axis to make it pop a little.
