^^ I have to respectfully disagree. This is precisely the type of situation where getting an attorney involved and filing suit if necessary appears to be the right move. A word of advise to the op... be careful what you post on a public board at this point.

to find a value: i would divide 150 hrs by useful life of boat in hrs times value of boat new.

About the dealer. Sounds like trust problem and i m not sure how you handle servicing the boat.

What state did you buy boat in and is there an hour disclosure statement that was signed?

^^^ I like that! I came up with a pretty fair number too with the numbers I used. 150 ÷ 1000 = .15 × 60k = 9000. Seems bout right to me.

$9k for 150 hours? Lol that seems like a lot. If it's dealer maintained with records 150 hours isn't a big deal. 2-5k at most.

so the dealer is telling me this:
They took my ecm out of my boat to let another axis owner use it until their ecm came in and that boat put the extra hours on it. They then put the ecm back into my boat and neglected to order a new ecm over the winter. I said that is a long story but i need a paper trail or something to prove their story.

my dealer often times DOES take parts off of in-stock boats to fix existing customer's boats because people are always anxious to get back on the water in the middle of summer and ordering parts takes time.

It kind of sucks, but it's ENTIRELY plausible.

It would not be the first time a lawyer has called me because of a messageboard.

Nothing I'm posting is false or negating anything I've told the dealership
