My boat has a high pitched "whine". It may be from the engine or vdrive. I have since installed a 2315 ACME prop and the "whine" is much more profound. The more RPM's the louder the whine is. Are all the Axis boats like this? Thanks for any info.

Yes mine does, it probably follows your rpm's. The 2315 usually runs the engine at higher rpm's so the whine is more pronounced. I always just assumed like you it was engine or v drive noise.

The whine is just the gears in the transmission, they all have a little noise, mine is noisy in reverse but not forward

It should sound like a jet engine whine. Or at least that is what I compare it to.

Same here noisy in reverse not so much in drive. But on the test drive it had the 5 blade OJ prop and that thing was loud. Put the 1235 on there and its quiet now.

A couple years ago we did a group buy on the 5 blade and everyone said the opposite, the 1235 was much noisier than the 5 blade and the 5 blade has less vibration. I liked the 5 blade in that aspect but I like the 1235 because it pulls better

I noticed that in my boat last weekend, but soon realized that the whining was coming from everyone because we were about to run out of beer.
