I picked up my new boat today and took it for a test drive with the Salesman. While running It out on the water the boat seemed to hesitate and studder when I got on it like I was pulling a boarder up. The temp was at about 100 degrees. Seemed to go away as it came up to temp but if I hammered down fast had a very slight hesitation. Dealership said that's normal for boat it's a fail safe for the boat until it's at temp. As for slight hesitation after it was warm they said that was due to delayed response of quick throttle movement. Not quite sure I buy either answer but figured I would start here. I've had several boats before all fuel injected and this is the first one that's responded like that. A22 with ss350. Hope to hear all of you say that it's normal. Thanks.

I never attempt to throttle up until I'm warmed up to at least 150 degrees. I could see that happening prior to the engine being at the said operational temp.
That being said, once i'm at operating temp, I've never experienced any delay when throttling up to get on plane. How much of a delay are you talking?

Very minimal after it got to 125 degrees. I don't think it got warmer than that. We were only out for approximately 15 minutes. And like I said it was just a slight hesitation when I would hammer down fast.

How long was the boat sitting with gas in the tank? It can be a fuel knock.

Dogging on a cold engine is a bad idea, you may call Indmar and ask them if it's programmed to do that on their newer engines

I just pick up a 2014 as well. I always let it warm up to about 140-150. I have never had a hesitation when I give it throttle. Just like kx250frider617 said it could be bad fuel. I would not fuel up your tank till you almost run out. Then try buying the highest octane fuel you can get. If that dose not fix it then I would take it in for them to work on. I have a hard time trusting the sales guy at my dealer because they did not know anything about the boat.

It may be my experience from years in sales of different products with different companies....but unfortunately its difficult to find a true time when your goals and the salesman's goals are completely aligned...which will typically lead to any number of things...one of which could be this guy trying to sell through an issue.
I would chat with indmar. Personally i have a 2013 A22 with the same motor and I can't even get out of my no wake zone before im about 155 anyway....riding around all day motor is always at 164-166 degrees.
I did hit it once on a smaller lake and whether its been hot or cooler (around 120) i have never felt a hesitation.
