So I have been getting a bad vibration sometimes when I cross another wake. I was normally traveling about 32 mph (cruising down lake). I have to completely stop and then start again and it is gone. It is not all the time either. I have the cinco prop on. Anyone else have this issue? Is something out of alignment?

On my last boat I had the issue described above. I would just throttle down and then take off again and it would resolve itself. My friend said it might have picked up a twig or something. I never resolved the issue. Inspect the prop for a nick or bend in it that isn't suppose to be there.

Yea it feels like a bent prop or bent shaft, but then again it doesn't do it all the time. I would think it would do it all the time? I was hoping someone else had the same issue

I do like Dezul said and just throttle down then take off and it is fine??

BUt I don't want to damage anything if it is an alignment/balance issue

I had a dinged prop on my ski Nautique. It would only vibrate at a certain rpm. Annoying as hell but I just learned to stay off that rpm

The fact that it only happens after a bump rules out the prop IMO, if it was a prop it would do it either all the time, certain speed, or until what ever was stuck to or in the prop came off/loose. It's almost like a drive line vibration, something gets Jared out of place and can't reset due to the spinning of the prop shaft, lower internals. Etc. and can't fall back into place until the lower unit clicks into nuetral. This will be impossible to diag until it can be duplicate on command, and out of water. Unless some one just happens to have corrected it on a previous repair. I say don't worry about it, as long as it stops when hitting nuetral. Eventually(or not) something will break and you can fix it or get enough ware to be obvious. Hopefully it will be under warranty still or on its next owner when it does.

I had an intermittent vibration when I had the boat listing heavily on the starboard side for surfing with very little weight up front(experimenting with newly added ballast) . I think it was prop cavitation. I built a poorgate and with the boat more evenly weighted it hasn't happened since.
If you aren't listing over while running down the lake then this probably doesn't help you diagnose your situation.
