Has anyone had a faulty fuel gauge? I checked my boat the night before we took it out and it had a half tank, so I figured it was enough for a decent set for some friends and I. The next morning we take the boat and I'm finished with my set and my dad reads the gauge and it says there is 1 bar left, but it goes between 1 and none. I was the first one to ride. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any similar situations.

It typically reads low for me while riding. Let the boat stable off and it will go back up.

I feel its terribly inaccurate mine hardly ever goes below half a tank, usually only one or two squares...... but I usually put at least 25-30 gallons back in

We can ride forever with a full tank. BUT when it gets below half a tank you better be wrapping it up pretty quick. Once mine reaches half a tank it seems to get to empty really fast.

From full tank to half tank last longer for me than from half tank to empty I guess is what I was trying to say.
I can go from half a tank to only one bar really fast.

I rand out yesterday. Although it showed empty the day before I only put 34 gallons in it so I figured I stoll had 10 gallons left when it showed empty. Negative I ran out if fuel and it only held 38 gallons. I thought the boat had a 48 gallon tank. Am I wrong? Anyone else experience this?

Weird mine showed half tank and when I filled I got 12 gallons in. That's not half :) mine is 48 gallons. I learned years ago not to trust the fuel gauge. They are way to innacurite in boats.

78 gallon tank in mine...woohoo...until you have to fill up with 60-65 gallons.

Same here, second half of the tank goes twice as fast as the first half, last weekend I was out doing random stuff for about 5-6 hours, it showed half tank and kinda flickered the next bar above for a while, next day I only got about 3 1/2 - 4 hours and the last bar was flickering on and off, I haven't filled it back up yet but I'm sure it will take at least 40-45 gallons, or at least it did last time I ran it that low.
