I keep putting dings in the back of my boat on the surf side wakesurfing (including one really big one). I ride a hyperlite broadcast and I was wondering if anyone has put anything on the nose of the board to prevent scratches, or if this is even possible? Or, is it something you guys just deal with until the end of the season and have all the scratches repaired?

U can buy a rubber nose guard off ebay that does help but I had trouble keeping it stuck to the board. U can also buy a clear plastic protector that goes on the transom to prevent the scratches. Its like a thick clear graphic.

i installed a 3m scratch protectant on all the areas i deemed hi traffic and where grip tape didn't cover. just make sure you get the good stuff cause the cheep stuff sucks i bought it off ebay and varried depending on size of the roll. i put it on the front, center (between winshield and tower) and on the rear where it slopes down as well

I take it your starting off the swim deck? That's the reason I haven't tried that.

No, I've never started that way. Sometimes I'll get too close to the boat and get caught there for a second, sometimes I'll ride close to the boat to grab a beer or somethin. The worst scratch happened during a poor 180 attempt where my board slipped out from under me and flew toward the boat leaving about a 6 inch scratch (fortunately, the person who had been sitting in the back corner didn't have his legs there at the time).

That persons legs could have saved you a scratch. ;-P

please post pics of what you have installed.

T22 is on order, will that area (at the transom) be protected with the factory Deck Trac Pads?
